With steady growth in the Atlanta market, the company is seeking a strategic leader to take on a high-impact role within its Preconstruction group.

Position Overview

The Senior Preconstruction Manager will lead all aspects of the preconstruction process for complex and high-value projects. This role is both strategic and hands-on, with a focus on managing client expectations, guiding internal teams, and ensuring successful project launches.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee preconstruction activities for large or complex projects, typically $30M–$150M+
  • Drive project strategy from concept through GMP, including budgeting, design coordination, and procurement planning
  • Lead efforts across a range of sectors including commercial, multifamily, education, healthcare, and industrial
  • Guide internal estimating teams, assigning tasks, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring quality control
  • Engage directly with clients and design teams to align scope, budget, and schedule
  • Present preconstruction deliverables to clients and internal executives with clarity and confidence
  • Develop and maintain subcontractor relationships and pricing databases
  • Support department development through mentorship, process refinement, and market feedback

Requirements

  • 10+ years of preconstruction/estimating experience with a commercial general contractor
  • Proven success leading projects through the full preconstruction lifecycle
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems, means, and methods
  • Skilled in software platforms such as Bluebeam, OST, Assemble, and Sage Estimating
  • Excellent client-facing and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
