Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preconstruction Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in preconstruction services with a strong emphasis on CM@R (Construction Manager at Risk) project delivery. This role requires exceptional conceptual estimating skills and extensive experience in managing Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) manufacturing construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Preconstruction Planning: Lead the preconstruction phase for CPG manufacturing projects, including feasibility studies, budget development, and preliminary scheduling.
- Conceptual Estimating: Develop accurate and detailed conceptual estimates, utilizing historical data, industry benchmarks, and innovative techniques.
- Project Management: Oversee the preconstruction process from initial client contact through project handoff, ensuring all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
- CM@R Project Delivery: Manage CM@R projects, providing expertise in preconstruction planning, cost estimating, risk management, and value engineering.
- Client Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including project managers, engineers, and field staff, to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support in the preparation of proposals, bid packages, and contract negotiations.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to drive continuous improvement in preconstruction processes.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in preconstruction services, with a proven track record in CM@R project delivery.
- Expertise: Extensive experience in CPG manufacturing construction projects is required.
- Skills:
- Strong conceptual estimating and cost modeling skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in preconstruction software and tools (e.g., Timberline, Bluebeam, PlanGrid).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as LEED AP, PMP, or DBIA are preferred.
