Key Responsibilities

• Estimate Preparation: Assist in the preparation of conceptual, schematic, design development, and final construction estimates
• Quantity Takeoffs: Perform accurate quantity takeoffs using construction documents and specifications across all CSI divisions
• Subcontractor Coordination: Issue invitations to bid, review subcontractor proposals, and ensure accurate scope coverage
• Bid Analysis: Evaluate and level subcontractor bids to determine completeness, accuracy, and value
• Scope Development: Assist in developing and writing detailed scopes of work for subcontractor packages
• Cost Management: Maintain historical cost data and update estimating templates and tools
• Client & Team Support: Support Preconstruction Managers and Senior Estimators in presentations, value engineering exercises, and design reviews
• Technology Usage: Utilize estimating and takeoff software, including Bluebeam, OST, and company-specific tools
• Bid Strategy Meetings: Attend internal bid strategy and proposal planning meetings with project teams and leadership
• GMP Support: Help in the development of GMPs for negotiated projects in coordination with owners, architects, and internal teams

• 2–5 years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience)
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, materials, and systems across commercial building types
• Proficiency with takeoff and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, OST, Excel, Sage, Building Connected, Procore, or similar platforms)
• Familiarity with the full life cycle of estimating: from concept through GMP
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills — comfortable interacting with internal teams, trade partners, and clients
• Ability to work collaboratively in-office with the Preconstruction team in Delray Beach
• Desire to grow professionally within a collaborative, mentorship-focused environment
