Our client is a highly sought after, General Contractor across the DC/ Virginia & Maryland areas. They have gone from strength to strength over the last 18 months, consistently winning projects. Due to their ongoing success, they are seeking a Preconstruction Manager to join their team in Rockville, MD.The Preconstruction Manager is responsible for leading the overall management of the preconstruction phase for multiple projects, including estimating, constructability reviews, bid package development, logistics plan development, value engineering, contract awards, and other work related to Design Assist and Construction Management type contracts. The Preconstruction Manager works directly with the Owner, the Design Team, in-house Preconstruction and Operations departments, and subcontractor and supplier community to facilitate the design, pricing, and execution of construction work for a variety of building types.

• A bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of previous preconstruction experience is preferred, including experience with a construction company which performs commercial or multi-family residential construction.
• nowledge of PlanSwift (or other takeoff software), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Building Connected (or other online bid solicitation software) and Bluebeam.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
• Must be detail oriented, technically sound, and have good communication skills.
• Must be familiar with both conceptual, detailed, and self-perform estimating.
• Knowledge and experience with the DC subcontractor market is a preferred not essential
