Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preconstruction process, including conceptual estimating, budgeting, and bid management.
• Prepare and review detailed cost estimates across commercial construction projects.
• Manage subcontractor solicitation, bid leveling, and scope reviews to ensure competitive pricing.
• Work closely with clients, architects, and engineers throughout the design and preconstruction phases.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and provide cost-saving recommendations.
• Conduct constructability reviews and identify potential project risks.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and estimating documentation.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure a smooth transition into construction.

• Up to $170,000 base

• 7+ years of preconstruction or estimating experience with a Commercial General Contractor.
• Experience managing commercial projects from conceptual budgeting through GMP development.
• Strong understanding of construction costs, subcontractor pricing, and market conditions.
• Experience across healthcare, corporate, industrial, retail, or renovation projects preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
• Strong client-facing, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in estimating software and construction management platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
