Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the preconstruction phase, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality objectives are met
- Supervise estimating, contracting, bidding, and scheduling activities for assigned projects
- Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and final construction estimates
- Analyze cost models during design development and bidding periods
- Ensure estimates are accurate, complete, and aligned with project requirements
- Oversee subcontractor prequalification and ensure qualified, financially sound bids are received and evaluated
- Coordinate closely with design teams, owners, and subcontractors to resolve scope and cost issues
- Lead bid reviews, scope evaluations, and subcontractor negotiations
- Provide guidance to project teams throughout design development and procurement phases
Requirements
- 6–10 years of construction experience with preconstruction or estimating focus
- Proficiency in Bluebeam for PDF creation and modification
- Proficiency in Timberline Estimating software
- Proficiency in Agtek and iSqFt for takeoffs and bid management
- Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and cost analysis
- Ability to manage multiple preconstruction efforts simultaneously
