Responsibilities
- Lead preconstruction and estimating efforts on negotiated and pursuit projects
- Manage project estimates through drawing phases and client deliverables
- Support pursuits and RFP responses alongside leadership
- Coordinate internally with operations and project management teams
- Manage subcontractor pricing and relationships
- Help implement and transition the estimating platform
- Mentor and develop a junior estimator
- Support the growth and structure of the preconstruction department
Requirements
- Mid career estimating or preconstruction professional
- Experience working for a commercial general contractor
- Strong communication skills with clients, trades, and internal teams
- Ability to manage multiple project types and sectors
- Comfortable working across varied markets rather than a single specialization
- Experience managing estimates independently
