
Preconstruction Manager - Fort Lauderdale, FL
Client
A nationally recognized General Contractor with a strong presence across Florida is actively building out its South Florida operations. As part of a strategic expansion into the Fort Lauderdale market, they are seeking a Preconstruction Manager to join a growing team that will support public-sector and institutional projects across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.This is a key role for someone who can run estimates independently, collaborate with operations, and interface with clients. As the office scales, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor junior team members and move into a leadership position.
Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle estimating efforts from concept through GMP
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and scope requirements
- Perform accurate takeoffs, budget forecasting, and cost analysis
- Manage subcontractor relationships and conduct scope reviews
- Collaborate with business development and operations teams on strategic pursuits
- Provide input on value engineering and constructability throughout design development
- Support training and mentorship of assistant estimators as needed

Requirements
- 4–8 years of experience in a preconstruction or estimating role within a commercial GC
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple estimates at once
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency with estimating software and Excel
- Experience in Florida’s public construction sector is highly preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is desirable
