A leading commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced MEP Estimator to support complex projects across the Washington DC market. This role focuses on Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection scopes from early concept through construction documents and project handoff.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP estimates across all design phases.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and constructability reviews.
• Coordinate with engineers, design teams, trade partners, and vendors.
• Develop value engineering options and life cycle cost analysis.
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals and manage scope coverage and risk.
• Support GMP, lump sum, and cost plus estimates.
• Participate in estimate reviews, client presentations, and project handoff.
• Maintain historical cost data and support change order analysis.
• May mentor or oversee junior estimating staff.

• $135K to $170K plus strong benefits.

• Hybrid office and jobsite exposure.
• Occasional travel required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of MEP estimating experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and Electrical systems.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
