We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join our client's team in Tampa, FL. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the preconstruction phase of our client's projects. Working closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, you will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, ensuring competitiveness, and delivering accurate bid proposals.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
• Identify and evaluate potential risks, opportunities, and value engineering alternatives.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor bids and proposals, negotiating pricing when necessary.
• Prepare accurate and competitive bid proposals and ensure timely submission.
• Collaborate with project teams to provide ongoing support during the project lifecycle.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction costs, market trends, and industry best practices.
• Utilize estimating software and tools effectively to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
• Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, specifically in commercial or residential projects.
• 3-6+ years experience in construction.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and related documents.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with the Tampa, FL construction market and local subcontractor network is an advantage.
