Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an Estimator to join our client's team in Miami, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals for a range of construction projects in the region. Working closely with project teams and stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to identify project requirements and constraints.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop comprehensive bid proposals in accordance with client requirements and project specifications.
  • Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and pricing analyses to determine project costs.
  • Solicit bids and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, and negotiate pricing to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
  • Utilize construction estimating software and other tools to prepare and analyze cost estimates efficiently.
  • Assist in the development of project budgets and schedules, and provide input on value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of project estimates, bids, and related documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in construction estimating within the commercial construction industry.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret project documents and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed.
