Responsibilities
- Lead the preconstruction process, producing competitive bids, negotiated proposals, conceptual budgets, and detailed cost estimates
- Support project win strategies, including preparing for and leading estimate presentations
- Oversee preconstruction deliverables to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Manage relationships with clients and design teams during preconstruction
- Perform detailed estimating tasks, including self-perform estimating as required
- Develop conceptual budgets and maintain accurate cost history data
- Partner with operations to review risk assessments, scoring, and project strategies
- Review project business plans to ensure alignment and profitability
- Prepare quantity surveys and General Requirements estimates
- Support compliance with MBE, WBE, and SBA requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of construction estimating experience
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, trades, scopes of work, and labor productivity
- Experience reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in estimating software and construction technology platforms
- Strong Excel skills and overall MS Office proficiency
- Healthcare project experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel overnight as required and work extended hours when necessary
