Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction and estimating efforts from conceptual budgeting through project award
• Prepare detailed estimates for negotiated and competitive bid opportunities
• Develop conceptual budgets using limited design information
• Prepare detailed takeoffs, pricing, and cost analyses
• Develop scopes of work and manage subcontractor bid solicitation processes
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals and support contract award recommendations
• Perform constructability reviews and risk assessments on complex projects
• Participate in client meetings and present estimates with confidence
• Provide value engineering and cost-saving recommendations during preconstruction
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment on scope, budget, and project execution strategies
• Support the continued development and refinement of preconstruction processes

• 7+ years of estimating and preconstruction experience within commercial construction
• Experience leading estimates from conceptual budgeting through final pricing
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and building systems
• Experience with healthcare, laboratory, higher education, corporate, or similarly complex projects preferred
• Ability to manage both negotiated and hard-bid pursuits
• Strong subcontractor relationship management skills
• Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with leadership, operations, and project teams
