Key Responsibilities
- Lead estimation efforts by reviewing and validating the General Contractor budgets
- Ensure cost estimates are accurate, aligned with milestones, and within budget
- Manage the preconstruction budget and participate in the buy-out process to identify savings
- Build and maintain a database of construction costs across projects
- Cultivate and manage subcontractor relationships for pricing and bid accuracy
- Oversee preconstruction processes across multiple simultaneous projects
- Develop and lead subordinate estimators to foster professional growth and technical excellence
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in construction estimating or project management
- Strong working knowledge of construction practices, processes, and applicable local construction laws
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Timberline, and On Screen Takeoff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management, follow-up, and multi-tasking abilities
- Self-motivated, punctual, and comfortable working both independently and in team environments
