Responsibilities
- Prepare conceptual, budgetary, and detailed electrical estimates throughout all phases of project development
- Develop accurate quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and design documentation
- Perform cost benchmarking and market analysis to support early project planning
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals, ensuring scope completeness and pricing accuracy
- Partner with Procurement teams throughout the bid evaluation and purchasing process
- Support value engineering initiatives by identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising project objectives
- Analyze project risks, scope gaps, and constructability considerations during the estimating process
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Construction, Scheduling, Cost Controls, and Project Management teams
- Maintain estimating databases, historical cost information, and pricing benchmarks
- Assist in procurement planning and contract award recommendations
- Support project teams throughout preconstruction and early construction phases
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as an Electrical Estimator with an Electrical Contractor, Electrical Subcontractor, or General Contractor
- Proven experience estimating commercial, industrial, manufacturing, mission-critical, or large-scale construction projects
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installation methods, labor productivity, and material pricing
- Experience preparing conceptual through detailed construction estimates
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced, highly collaborative project environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting owner-side project controls or estimating teams.
- Background in manufacturing, automotive, semiconductor, energy, battery, or mission-critical construction
- Experience working closely with procurement and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Ability to present estimating methodologies and defend cost assumptions to cross-functional stakeholders
