Responsibilities:
- Participate in all aspects of the preconstruction and estimating process
- Manage bid solicitation processes and maintain associated databases
- Prepare bid scope packages for trade partners and suppliers
- Create project estimates and revisions, perform takeoffs, and review specifications
- Review, analyze, and interpret drawings and project documents
- Coordinate and track preconstruction RFIs and manage document control
- Develop preliminary project schedules and logistics plans
- Manage value analysis efforts in support of projects
- Review and negotiate trade partner proposals for accuracy, scope, and competitiveness
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, design teams, trade partners, and suppliers
- Document all work clearly for internal and external communication and audits
- Capture and maintain historical project cost and estimating data
- Participate in industry events and support continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of commercial construction preconstruction or related project management experience
- Experience with CMAR and Design-Bid-Build delivery methods
- Knowledge of construction means, methods, trades, and scopes of work
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong math, analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (Preferred)
- Experience with preconstruction software such as On-Screen Takeoff, BlueBeam, Concntric, or BuildingConnected (Preferred)
