Responsibilities
- Lead projects through the full preconstruction process from conceptual budgeting through GMP.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and quantity takeoffs.
- Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Manage scope development and identify potential gaps or risks.
- Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews.
- Work closely with owners, architects, engineers, and internal project teams.
- Prepare and present budgets, cost updates, and preconstruction recommendations.
- Support project turnover from preconstruction into operations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of estimating or preconstruction experience with a General Contractor.
- Experience managing commercial construction projects through preconstruction.
- Strong conceptual estimating and budgeting experience.
- Knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and subcontractor markets.
- Experience with Bluebeam, OST, or similar estimating software.
- Strong client-facing, communication, and organizational skills.
