Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP/FP) scopes
- Analyze plans and specifications to create accurate quantity takeoffs and pricing
- Develop bid documentation and collaborate with contractors and subcontractors
- Contribute to budgeting, value engineering, and cost control strategies
- Stay updated on market trends and participate in team-wide preconstruction planning
Requirements
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven track record in MEP estimating, ideally including multifamily projects
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, takeoff tools (e.g., PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff), and preferably Sage Estimating
- Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting
