Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop comprehensive pricing for all systems
• Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to validate pricing and ensure competitive bids
• Support project teams during award and start-up phases by clarifying assumptions and materials
• Review budgets and project profitability with project teams and supervisors
• Identify corrective measures to continuously improve estimating accuracy
• Engage with clients during bidding to clarify scope changes and answer questions
• Conduct searches for new bid opportunities and attend occasional pre-bid meetings or drop-offs
• Utilize industry-standard estimating software (e.g., Heavy Bid, Sage, OST, Procore, Bluebeam) along with Microsoft Office

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• 0–2+ years of commercial estimating or preconstruction experience
• Strong skills in reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to provide accurate and competitive cost figures
