They are seeking an experienced GC Lead Estimator to join their growing Preconstruction team. ‍This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll take ownership of hard-bid and negotiated estimates across a diverse portfolio of commercial construction projects. Key Responsibilities

• Lead hard-bid and negotiated GMP estimates across commercial construction projects.
• Complete detailed quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam, Sage Estimating/eTakeoff, or similar estimating platforms.
• Manage the complete bid process from subcontractor solicitation through final submission.
• Prepare bid packages using BuildingConnected.
• Level subcontractor proposals, identify scope gaps, and evaluate pricing.
• Present estimates and recommendations to leadership.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers across Michigan.
• Support project buyout, scope reviews, and early-stage construction activities.
• Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure a seamless handover from preconstruction to operations.

• $120,000–$145,000 base salary.‍

We're looking for someone who has:

• 5+ years of Commercial General Contractor estimating experience.
• Experience managing both hard-bid and negotiated commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction estimating across multiple CSI divisions.
• Experience using Bluebeam, Excel, and estimating software such as Sage/eTakeoff (or similar).
• Strong subcontractor management and bid levelling experience.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience across commercial sectors such as healthcare, education, office, retail, industrial, or civic construction.
