An established GC is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its Manhattan-based team. This individual will play a key role in pricing and planning interior construction projects, including tenant fit-outs and renovations, with annual project volume ranging from $5M to $100M.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead the full estimating effort on assigned projects from early budgeting through final bid submission.
• Develop comprehensive cost estimates across all trades, including architectural, structural, and MEP systems, as design documents progress.
• Review drawings, specifications, and related documentation to accurately define scope, materials, labor, and scheduling requirements.
• Coordinate subcontractor outreach, level bids, and conduct detailed scope reviews to ensure completeness and alignment with project requirements.
• Analyze proposals for compliance with specifications, code requirements, insurance standards, logistics constraints, and overall project objectives.
• Identify potential risks, gaps, and cost-saving opportunities; provide value engineering recommendations where appropriate.
• Support project handoff by participating in kickoff meetings and maintaining involvement through procurement, RFIs, change pricing, and subcontract execution.
• Engage directly with clients, consultants, and trade partners to clarify pricing, resolve scope questions, and secure necessary approvals.
• Contribute to team development initiatives and collaborate across estimating, operations, and accounting to strengthen overall performance.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating or preconstruction within the commercial construction sector.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work on-site daily from the Manhattan office.

• Target salary range: $130,000 – $180,000
