Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates across heavy civil, utility, and some structural concrete scopes
• Complete quantity takeoffs and detailed cost analysis
• Support bids for municipal, DOT, airport, subdivision, and commercial utility projects
• Work on projects ranging from $125,000 to $4 million
• Assist with both hard bid and negotiated work
• Coordinate vendor and supplier pricing
• Support and guide an Assistant Estimator on takeoffs and pricing tasks
• Collaborate closely with the owner and operations team
• Attend site visits within the local region as required

• Estimating experience within heavy civil, utilities, concrete, plumbing, or related scopes
• Ability to handle core estimating responsibilities from day one
• Strong Excel skills, including use of formulas
• Experience with PlanSwift, Agtek, and AutoCAD preferred
• Comfortable working in-office
• Strong attitude and willingness to learn and grow
• Open to candidates from smaller or larger contractors
• Commercial GC estimators considered if they want to transition into civil work and understand core pricing fundamentals
• Candidates with plumbing or concrete estimating experience who want to move into civil will also be considered.
