The Southeast is a key growth market, with an established Jacksonville operation and substantial project pipeline already secured across Florida. The company is continuing to build its Preconstruction function in Jacksonville and is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator / Preconstruction Manager to join at an important stage of that growth.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Estimator / Preconstruction Manager to join the Jacksonville team and play a key role in developing the company's Southeast Preconstruction function.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take significant ownership of the estimating function while working closely with the senior leadership team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for major commercial and ground-up construction projects
• Review drawings, specifications and project documentation
• Develop accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Work closely with project management and operations teams during preconstruction
• Work closely with clients / owners and act as the main point of contact.
• Assist with budgeting, value engineering and scope development
• Identify project risks, exclusions and potential cost issues
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and trade partners
• Play a key role in the development and growth of the company's Southeast Preconstruction function

• 8+ years of commercial estimating / preconstruction experience preferred
• Strong ground-up construction experience
• Experience with large-scale commercial projects strongly preferred
• Experience with tilt-wall construction is advantageous
• Strong understanding of subcontractor scopes, pricing and procurement
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Comfortable working in a growing environment where there is significant opportunity to take ownership
• Open to candidates willing to relocate to Florida
