Salary up to $160,000 base + benefits
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and conceptual estimates, including quantity takeoffs, labor, materials, and subcontractor pricing.
- Lead portions of estimates for multi-discipline projects and pursuits.
- Solicit subcontractor and vendor pricing and evaluate bids for scope and qualifications.
- Lead subcontractor meetings to develop complete scopes and bid strategies.
- Review estimates for accuracy, completeness, risk, and contract requirements.
- Track estimated costs against actual project costs and identify opportunities to improve estimating processes.
- Supervise and train other estimators within areas of expertise.
Requirements
- 8 to 10+ years of estimating and cost control experience.
- Experience with conceptual, detailed, and self-perform estimating.
- Ability to manage or contribute to multiple projects and pursuits at the same time.
- Experience with On-Screen Takeoff, Microsoft Excel, and Bluebeam.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, a related field, or relevant work experience.
- Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills.
- Local subcontractor market knowledge and field experience are preferred.
