Our client is a well-established Heavy Civil Contractor with over 65 years in business, delivering earthwork, site development, excavation, and infrastructure projects across the Carolinas. With a family-oriented culture and a long-standing workforce, they're looking to add a Senior Estimator who can play a key role in both project delivery and mentoring the next generation of estimators.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process for heavy civil and sitework projects from pre-bid through project handoff.
• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate and competitive estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather critical project information.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Support bid reviews, value engineering initiatives, and project handoff meetings.
• Mentor junior estimators and contribute to the continued development of the estimating team.

• 5+ years of estimating experience within heavy civil, sitework, or earthworks construction.
• Strong understanding of excavation, grading, utilities, deep foundations, and related heavy civil scopes.
• Experience preparing detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Proficiency with AGTEK and Microsoft Excel (HCSS experience is a plus).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across estimating, operations, and project management teams.
• Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.
