Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity takeoffs and detailed project studies
- Develop preliminary estimates during preconstruction phases
- Lead preconstruction meetings when required
- Monitor design development costs and identify potential overruns
- Support value engineering efforts throughout the project lifecycle
- Interface with subcontractors and suppliers to evaluate proposals and scope coverage
- Understand client needs and manage preconstruction processes efficiently
- Support proposal presentations and preconstruction planning efforts
- Review project schedules and advise leadership of risks or delays
- Collaborate with operations and project stakeholders to ensure successful project turnover
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of estimating or preconstruction experience
- Field experience is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with estimating and scheduling software preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams
